Dermabrasion
This is a common and very effective method to remove acne scars, especially on the face. Similar to microdermabrasion, this in office treatment can exfoliate more deeply to reduce the appearance of acne scars.
Laser Resurfacing
This technique removes the top layer of skin. Patients need to cover the area with a bandage, but the healing time is relatively fast. This method is not recommended for anyone still susceptible to acne.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel removes the top layer of skin and deep scars. Although this can be done at home, a professional uses a stronger and more concentrated solution to achieve much better results.
Fillers
Used for many cosmetic purposes, fillers contain collagen that is injected underneath the skin to plump up depressed scars and smooth out the skin. Normally a filler will last 6 – 8 months.
Microneedling
This is a newer technique using small needles on a roller to puncture the skin. As it heals, it produces new collagen to fill in depressed acne scars, but it may take a bit longer to see results.

Don’t Pop
