Tami Santo DNP-APRN

Tami Santo DNP-APRN, a central Floridian graduated in 2013 with her master’s in nursing from UCF and Doctorate in nursing in 2014.
With over 20 years of nursing background. Tami has worked in many different clinical settings. Experience includes nursing homes, home health care, office setting, and hospitals. She spent 7 years as an LPN in a dermatology office then realized she wanted to further her education as a nurse practitioner. Working at different levels in clinical settings has given her the experience and knowledge to practice to the fullest potential with patients of all ages.
Her passion for dermatology was pre-eminent in her doctoral project. Tami’s project focused on melanoma awareness, education in schools, and banning indoor tanning for minors in the state of Florida. She spoke at a senate meeting in Tallahassee for a bill on indoor tanning that passed that day.
Tami treats skin conditions for all age groups and performs many minor surgical procedures. Tami treats patients like family and enjoys the gratifying feeling when a patient’s condition is improved under her guidance. She believes giving patients options and collaborative care empowers them to make their own decisions. Besides general dermatology care, she is knowledgeable in aesthetic treatments including fillers, Botox, lasers, and microneedling.
Tami is an active member of the NADNP, DNA, and FNPN societies. She is an avid participant in the DNA and will be part of the planning committee for the 2021/2022 NP forum.
Tami’s future goals are to be more active in the community on skin cancer awareness, writing articles, and clinical studies.
